Anastasia Romero

Anastasia Romero started writing and illustrating stories for children in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. She composed them for her daughter.

“Home” is Anastasia’s first book. It reminds us that home is in our hearts, that life is a fascinating journey, and along the way we may discover incredible surprises.

Anastasia has lived in three countries: Russia, Spain, and the Philippines and speaks three languages. She holds a degree in linguistics from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia in Moscow and a master’s degree in communication from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. She currently resides with her family in Cebu City, Philippines.

Coming from a family of artists, Anastasia brings her stories to life through her painting. With bright illustrations and friendly, relatable characters, she wishes to inspire readers to feel confident and special about who they are. She hopes that kids and their grown-ups will enjoy her stories and take to heart the life lessons written in between the lines.

Anastasia has a passion for nature, animals, and the deep ocean.

She won an Honorable Mention Award in the category of New Author: Fiction at the prestigious Purple Dragonfly Book Award 2023.
